A sunny morning at the camperparking
in Haarlem, the Netherlands. While doing the dishes a man came to pick up his laundry, Antonio is his name. A conversation about living in a camper came up. He combines his job and traveling around, but lives for his cyanotypes and polaroids. I told him about our Portfolio Sites project and then the enthusiasm was born; he started showing his treasures.
In his camper one polaroid after the other appeared. Accompanied by Tom Waits songs and the sun coming through the windows.
Antonio starts telling me his story. He studied photography but is mainly self-educated. He sells his work on the streets. The main reason for this is that he wants to make contact with people, by showing and sharing his work, his stories. Go find him around Haarlem, Den Haag and Amsterdam!
